ABSTRACT

An epidemiological investigation was conducted on a cluster epidemic of COVID-19 in the vaccinated population in Beijing in 2022, and serum samples were collected from 21 infected cases and 61 close contacts (including 20 cases with positive nucleic acid in the isolation observation period). The results of antibody detection showed that the IgM antibody of two infected persons was positive, and the IgG antibody positive rates of patients who were converted, not converted to positive and infected persons were 36.84% (7/19), 63.41% (26/41) and 71.43% (15/21), respectively. About 98.78% of patients had been vaccinated with the SARS-CoV-2 inactivated vaccine. The positive rate of IgG antibody in patients immunized with three doses of vaccine was 86.00% (43/50), which was higher than that in patients with one or two doses [16.12% (5/31)]. The antibody level of M (Q1, Q3) in patients immunized with three doses was 4.255 (2.303, 7.0375), which was higher than that in patients with one or two doses [0.500 (0.500, 0.500)] (all P values<0.001). The antibody level of patients who were vaccinated less than three months [7.335 (1.909, 7.858)] was higher than that of patients vaccinated more than three months after the last vaccination [2.125 (0.500, 4.418)] (P=0.007). The positive rate and level of IgG antibody in patients who were converted to positive after three doses were 77.78% (7/9) and 4.207 (2.216, 7.099), respectively, which were higher than those in patients who were converted after one or two doses [0 and 0.500 (0.500, 0.500)] (all P values<0.05).

ABSTRACT

Carnosic acid (CA) is the main phenolic diterpenoid active ingredient in plants such as rosemary and sage, and has antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory effects and so on, however, its antiviral activity against influenza virus infections was not reported. In this study, antiviral activities against influenza A virus infections of three main bioactive ingredients from rosemary, including rosmarinic acid, CA and ursolic acid, were evaluated using virus titer titration assay, and CA showed remarkable inhibition on influenza H5N1 replication in A549 cells. The antiviral activity of CA was further confirmed and its mechanism of action was investigated using the indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA), Western blot and real-time fluorescence quantification polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). The results showed that the 50% effective concentration (EC50) of CA against influenza H5N1 in A549 cells and MDCK cells were 4.30 and 3.64 μmol·L-1, respectively. Meanwhile, CA also showed inhibition on influenza virus 2009panH1N1 (EC50: 10.1 μmol·L-1) and H3N2 (EC50: 12.8 μmol·L-1) replications in A549 cells. Mechanistic studies showed that antiviral activity of CA is related to its induction of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in A549 cells and suppression on production of reactive oxygen in H5N1-infected cells.

ABSTRACT

Abstract The power of computed tomography (CT) radiomics for preoperative prediction of microvascular invasion (MVI) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) demonstrated in current research is variable. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to evaluate the value of CT radiomics for MVI prediction in HCC, and to investigate the methodologic quality in the workflow of radiomics research. Databases of PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library were systematically searched. The methodologic quality of included studies was assessed. Validation data from studies with Transparent Reporting of a Multivariable Prediction Model for Individual Prognosis or Diagnosis (TRIPOD) statement type 2a or above were extracted for meta-analysis. Eleven studies were included, among which nine were eligible for meta-analysis. Radiomics quality scores of the enrolled eleven studies varied from 6 to 17, accounting for 16.7%-47.2% of the total points, with an average score of 14. Pooled sensitivity, specificity, and Area Under the summary receiver operator Characteristic Curve (AUC) were 0.82 (95% CI 0.77-0.86), 0.79 (95% CI 0.75-0.83), and 0.87 (95% CI 0.84-0.91) for the predictive performance of CT radiomics, respectively. Meta-regression and subgroup analyses showed radiomics model based on 3D tumor segmentation, and deep learning model achieved superior performances compared to 2D segmentation and non-deep learning model, respectively (AUC: 0.93 vs. 0.83, and 0.97 vs. 0.83, respectively). This study proves that CT radiomics could predict MVI in HCC. The heterogeneity of the included studies precludes a definition of the role of CT radiomics in predicting MVI, but methodology warrants uniformization in the radiology community regarding radiomics in HCC.

ABSTRACT

In the era of artificial intelligence based on big data, data acquisition, storage and processing are more convenient, which provides a guarantee for accelerating the development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), but it has not yet achieved organic integration with TCM theory. Based on preliminary research on the supramolecular "Qi chromatography" theory of TCM, combined with the current development trend of artificial intelligence, this paper analyzed the biological intelligence attribute of the function of TCM supramolecular "imprinting template", in order to provide reference for the development of TCM drug innovation. Both the human body and Chinese materia medica are giant complex supramolecular bodies evolved from natural organisms. According to the "imprinting template", the "social molecules" are controlled step by step to form the meridians and viscera. The interaction produces the original theory of TCM, in which the self-recognition, self-assembly, self-organization and self-replication of the "imprinting template" reflect the "intelligence" function attributes:the human body uses the "imprinting template" to self-identify and sense the ingredients of TCM, and store the memory information database in the meridian and collateral organs in the form of "imprinting template", and then pass the "imprinting template". The comparison, analysis, and judgment of imprinting templates guide the self-assembly, self-organization and self-replication among "molecular society", synthesize biological machines, produce biological functions, repair or strengthen biological supramolecular bodies, and present the most basic "intelligence" attribute. This suggests that the theory of theory-method-prescription-medicine of TCM is the weak embodiment of biological "intelligence", while the human brain function is the strong embodiment of biological "intelligence". Since the intelligent function of supramolecular "imprinting template" runs through the natural world, artificial intelligence that can characterize the strong "intelligence" form of the human brain will also be integrated into all aspects of the natural world, suggesting the development direction of "intelligence" functionalization of drug innovation mode.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES@#To explore the optimal maintenance dose of caffeine citrate for preterm infants requiring assisted ventilation and caffeine citrate treatment.@*METHODS@#A retrospective analysis was performed on the medical data of 566 preterm infants (gestational age ≤34 weeks) who were treated and required assisted ventilation and caffeine citrate treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit of 30 tertiary hospitals in Jiangsu Province of China between January 1 and December 31, 2019. The 405 preterm infants receiving high-dose (10 mg/kg per day) caffeine citrate after a loading dose of 20 mg/kg within 24 hours after birth were enrolled as the high-dose group. The 161 preterm infants receiving low-dose (5 mg/kg per day) caffeine citrate were enrolled as the low-dose group.@*RESULTS@#Compared with the low-dose group, the high-dose group had significant reductions in the need for high-concentration oxygen during assisted ventilation (P=0.044), the duration of oxygen inhalation after weaning from noninvasive ventilation (P<0.01), total oxygen inhalation time during hospitalization (P<0.01), the proportion of preterm infants requiring noninvasive ventilation again (P<0.01), the rate of use of pulmonary surfactant and budesonide (P<0.05), and the incidence rates of apnea and bronchopulmonary dysplasia (P<0.01), but the high-dose group had a significantly increased incidence rate of feeding intolerance (P=0.032). There were no significant differences between the two groups in the body weight change, the incidence rates of retinopathy of prematurity, intraventricular hemorrhage or necrotizing enterocolitis, the mortality rate, and the duration of caffeine use (P>0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#This pilot multicenter study shows that the high maintenance dose (10 mg/kg per day) is generally beneficial to preterm infants in China and does not increase the incidence rate of common adverse reactions. For the risk of feeding intolerance, further research is needed to eliminate the interference of confounding factors as far as possible.

ABSTRACT

Objective: Due to genetic factors might increase the risk of depression, this study investigated the genetic risk factors of depression in Chinese Han population by analyzing the association between 13 candidate genes and depression. Methods: 439 depression patients and 464 healthy controls were included in this case-control study. Case group consisted of 158 males and 281 females, aged (29.84±14.91) years old, who were hospitalized in three departments of the affiliated Brain Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University including Affective Disorders Department, Adult Psychiatry Department and Geriatrics Department, from February 2020 to September 2021. The control group consisted of 196 males and 268 females, aged (30.65±12.63) years old. 20 loci of 13 candidate genes in all subjects were detected by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Age difference was compared using the student's t-test, the distributions of gender and genotype were analyzed with Pearson's Chi-square test. The analyses of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, allele frequency and the genetic association of depression were conducted using the corresponding programs in PLINK software. Results: PLINK analysis showed that SCN2A rs17183814, ABCB1 rs1045642, CYP2C19*3 rs4986893 and NAT2*5A rs1799929 were associated with depression before Bonferroni correction (χ2=10.340, P=0.001; χ2=11.010, P=0.001; χ2=9.781, P=0.002; χ2=4.481, P=0.034). The frequencies of minor alleles of above loci in the control group were 12.07%, 43.64%, 2.59% and 3.88%, respectively. The frequencies of minor alleles of loci mentioned above in the case group were 17.43%, 35.99%, 5.47% and 6.04%, respectively. OR values were 1.538, 0.726, 2.178 and 1.592, respectively. After 1 000 000 permutation tests using Max(T) permutation procedure, the four loci were still statistically significant, the empirical P-value were 0.002, 0.001, 0.003 and 0.042, respectively. However, only three loci including SCN2A rs17183814, ABCB1 rs1045642 and CYP2C19 rs4986893 had statistical significance after Bonferroni correction, the adjusted P-value were 0.026, 0.018 and 0.035, respectively. Conclusion: SCN2A rs17183814, ABCB1 rs1045642 and CYP2C19*3 rs4986893 were associated with depression's susceptibility in Chinese Han population. The A allele of SCN2A rs17183814 and CYP2C19*3 rs4986893 were risk factors for depression, while the T allele of ABCB1 rs1045642 was a protective factor for depression.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the coexisting mutations and clinical significance of Homo sapiens neuroblastoma RAS viral oncogene homolog (NRAS) gene in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients.@*METHODS@#High-throughput DNA sequencing and Sanger sequencing were used to detect 51 gene mutations. The occurrence, clinical characteristics and treatment efficacy of coexisting genes with NRAS were investigated.@*RESULTS@#A total of 57 NRAS mutations (17.5%) were detected in 326 patients with AML. Compared with the patients in NRAS non-mutation group, patients in the mutant group were younger (P=0.018) and showed lower platelet count (P=0.033), but there was no significant difference in peripheral leukocyte count, hemoglobin, and sex. For FAB classification, NRAS mutation and M2 subtype showed mutually exclusive (P=0.038). Among 57 patients carried with NRAS mutation, 51 (89.5%) patients carried with other gene mutations, 25 (43.9%) carried with double gene mutations, 10 (17.5%) carried with 3 gene mutations, and 16 (28.1%) corried with ≥ 4 gene mutations. The most common coexisting gene mutation was KRAS (24.6%, 14/57), followed by FLT3-ITD (14.0%, 8/57), RUNX1 (12.3%, 7/57), NPM1 (10.5%, 6/57), PTPN11 (10.5%, 6/57), DNMT3A (10.5%, 6/57) and so on. The age (P=0.013, P=0.005) and peripheral platelet count (P=0.007, P=0.021) of patients with NPM1 or DNMT3A mutations were higher than those of the patients with wild type, but there was no significant difference in peripheral leukocyte count and hemoglobin. Also, there was no significant difference in age, peripheral leukocyte count, hemoglobin, and peripheral platelet count between the patients in KRAS, FLT3-ITD, RUNX1 or PTPN11 mutant group and the wild group. Patients with FLT3-ITD mutations showed a lower complete remission (CR) rate (P=0.044). However, there was no significant difference in CR rate between the patients with KRAS, NPM1, RUNX1, PTPN11 or DNMT3A mutations and the wild group. The CR rate of the patents with single gene mutation, double gene mutations, 3 gene mutations, and≥ 4 gene mutations were decreased gradually, and there was no significant difference in CR rate between pairwise comparisons.@*CONCLUSION@#The mutation rate of NRAS mutation is 17.5%, 89.5% of AML patients with NRAS mutation coexist with additional gene mutations. The type of coexisting mutations has a certain impact on clinical characteristics and CR rate of patients with AML.

ABSTRACT

Exosomes are lipid bilayer membranous vesicles actively secreted by various cells in the organism, which are like nanoparticles and have messenger targeting. Combining with the theory of supramolecular "Qi chromatography" of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), research ideas and strategies of modernization of TCM can be constructed. Exosomes are secreted by cells, and the membrane contains nucleic acids, proteins, lipids and small molecular metabolites and others, which can accurately coordinate the functions of each cell, concentrate and transmit the functional information of the parent cell, and is the concise form of reflecting cell functions. At the same time, it is loaded with the "imprinted templates" of the supramolecular "Qi chromatography" theory of TCM. If the "imprinted templates" carrying rules among the gene-protein-lipid-small molecules wrapped in it is studied, the modern experimental research ideas and strategies of TCM theory can be established for revealing the functions of the body's meridians and viscera. Firstly, the present situation of exosomes, including discovery, secretion, characteristics, functions, attribution, uptake, research methods and application status, were reviewed in this paper. And the natural properties of its precise messenger targeted delivery vehicle were elaborated, reflecting the operation law of microscopic substances in meridians and viscera. Secondly, to explore it as an important carrier of the concentrated "imprinted templates" of the supramolecular "Qi chromatography" theory of TCM, and integrating the research methods of exosomes and supramolecular chemistry of TCM, this paper proposes experimental research ideas and strategies on the microscopic material basis of meridians and viscera, compatibility of TCM compound, and targeting of TCM targeted preparations.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the effect of miR-203/CREB1 signaling regulation mediated by DNA methylation on the proliferation, invasion and apoptosis of multiple myeloma (MM) cells.@*METHODS@#The methylation level of miR-203 in the RPMI 8226 cells was detected by bisulfite sequcucing polymerase chain reaction (BSP). The mRNA expression of miR-203 was measured by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. RPMI 8226 cells were treated with DNA methyltransferase inhibitor 5-Aza-2'-deoxycytidine (5-Aza-CdR). The miR-203 mimic in MM cell line RPMI 8226 was transfected to establish overexpressed miR-203 cell. The proliferation, invasion ability and apoptosis of RPMI 8226 cell was detected by CCK-8 assay, Transwell, and flow cytometry, respectively. The targeting relationship between miR-203 and CREB1 was verified by double luciferase report assay. Western blot was used to detect the expression of CREB1 protein.@*RESULTS@#Hypermethylation of miR-203 promoter region and low expression level of miR-203 mRNA were detected in the RPMI 8226 cells, which showed that demethylation could induce the expression of miR-203. The proliferation and invasion ability of RPMI 8226 cells after treated by 5-Aza-CdR were inhibited, and showed statistical significance as compared with blank control group (both P<0.05),while the apoptosis rate was promoted (P<0.05). The proliferation, invasion ability and apoptosis of overexpressed miR-203 were the same as the demethylation group. Double luciferase report assay confirmed that CREB1 was the direct target of miR-203. The protein level of CREB1 was inhibited by demethylation and showed statistical significance as compared with control group (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#MiR-203 targeting CREB1 mediated by DNA methylation leads to maintain the malignant biological behaviors of MM cells.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES@#To investigate the risk factors for necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in very preterm infants and establish a nomogram model for predicting the risk of NEC.@*METHODS@#A total of 752 very preterm infants who were hospitalized from January 2015 to December 2021 were enrolled as subjects, among whom 654 were born in 2015-2020 (development set) and 98 were born in 2021 (validation set). According to the presence or absence of NEC, the development set was divided into two groups: NEC (n=77) and non-NEC (n=577). A multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the independent risk factors for NEC in very preterm infants. R software was used to plot the nomogram model. The nomogram model was then validated by the data of the validation set. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, the Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test, and the calibration curve were used to evaluate the performance of the nomogram model, and the clinical decision curve was used to assess the clinical practicability of the model.@*RESULTS@#The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that neonatal asphyxia, sepsis, shock, hypoalbuminemia, severe anemia, and formula feeding were independent risk factors for NEC in very preterm infants (P<0.05). The ROC curve of the development set had an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.833 (95%CI: 0.715-0.952), and the ROC curve of the validation set had an AUC of 0.826 (95%CI: 0.797-0.862), suggesting that the nomogram model had a good discriminatory ability. The calibration curve analysis and the Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test showed good accuracy and consistency between the predicted value of the model and the actual value.@*CONCLUSIONS@#Neonatal asphyxia, sepsis, shock, hypoalbuminemia, severe anemia, and formula feeding are independent risk factors for NEC in very preterm infant. The nomogram model based on the multivariate logistic regression analysis provides a quantitative, simple, and intuitive tool for early assessment of the development of NEC in very preterm infants in clinical practice.

ABSTRACT

This paper was aimed to clarify the effect of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on depression. Animal running platforms were used to establish HIIT exercise models, depression models were prepared by chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS), and depression-related behaviors were detected by behavioral experiments. The results showed that HIIT exercise improved depression-related behavior in CUMS model mice. Western blot and ELISA results showed that in the hippocampus, medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) and amygdala of the CUMS model mice, glucocorticoid receptor (GR) protein expression was down-regulated, and the content of tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) was increased, compared with those in the control group, whereas HIIT exercise could effectively reverse these changes in CUMS model mice. These results suggest that HIIT exercise can exert antidepressant effect, which brings new ideas and means for the clinical treatment of depressive diseases.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To understand the risk characteristics of high-risk population of chronic disease in Shanghai, and provide theoretical basis for screening management and health intervention. Methods:The data from the 2013 Shanghai Non-communicable and Chronic Diseases Surveillance was used for analysis. People (aged 35 and over) who had no diagnosis of hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia but met the criteria for high-risk groups of chronic diseases were included in the study. Finally, 3 682 participants were included. Results:In this high-risk population, 62.90% of the subjects has total serum cholesterol level of 5.2-6.2 mmol/L, 35.88% had blood pressure level of (130-139)/(85-89) mmHg, 30.50% had abdominal obesity, 27.68% were current smokers, and 8.75% had fasting blood glucose level of 6.1-7.0 mmol/L. Among the different risk characteristics, the detection rate of smoking risk in men was higher than that in women (64.51% vs. 1.49%). On the contrary, the detection rate of waist circumference and serum total cholesterol risk in women was higher than that in men (34.90% vs. 24.31% and 72.30% vs. 49.67%, respectively). The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The detection rates of the five high-risk characteristics were not the same in all age groups. The detection rate of blood pressure risk was relatively low, and the cholesterol risk was relatively high in the highly educated population. The blood pressure risk was the highest among agricultural practitioners (42.26%). The detection rate of smoking risk was the highest in rural areas (31.45%), and the risk of cholesterol was the highest in urban areas (68.54%). The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Among the high-risk groups of chronic diseases in Shanghai, the distribution of high-risk characteristics in genders, ages, and occupational types were not the same and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions:The level of risk characteristics among high-risk groups of chronic diseases in Shanghai is relatively high. Relevant departments should carry out targeted health interventions for different populations to reduce the level of risk factors in high-risk groups of chronic diseases and control the potential risk of chronic diseases.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To understand the epidemiological characteristics of high-risk population of hypertension in Shanghai, and to provide references for health management and targeted lifestyle intervention of the high-risk population in community. Methods:The data from the 2013 Shanghai Non-communicable and Chronic Diseases Surveillance were used. The subjects who met the criteria of high-risk population of hypertension were included, and 11 753 subjects were finally identified, to analyze the distribution and level of risk characteristics. Result:Among six high-risk characteristics of hypertension, the detection rate of high salt in diet was the highest (55.3%), followed by overweight/obesity (44.0%), family history of hypertension (41.6%), and blood pressure level of (130-139)/(85-89) mmHg (31.7%). The detection rate of excessive drinking was the lowest (5.0%). The percentage of population with one or two high-risk characteristics was higher than that with three or more high-risk characteristics (76.9% vs. 23.1%). Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose level, and body mass index in the male high-risk group were higher than those in the female group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose level, body mass index and daily salt intake were different between different age groups, educational level and occupational types (P<0.05). Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, body mass index and daily salt intake were significantly different among high-risk groups with different marital status (P<0.05). The daily salt intake and systolic blood pressure levels of high-risk population in different areas were significantly different (P<0.05). Conclusion:We should identify high-risk groups of hypertension as early as possible and actively carry out community health management and targeted lifestyle interventions. The focus should be on the groups and individuals with high-risk characteristics such as dietary high salt and overweight/obesity, male, middle-aged and low-educated groups. In this way, we can reduce the level of high-risk characteristics, prevent and delay the occurrence of hypertension.

ABSTRACT

A drug delivery system of forsythoside A-loaded exosomes(FTA-Exos) with high biocompatibility and low immunogenicity was established to investigate its impact on the migration of human lung epithelial adenocarcinoma A549 cells. The exosomes from A549 cells were extracted and purified by ultra-high speed centrifugation and ultrafiltration. FTA-Exos were prepared by ultrasonic incubation, and characterized by particle size analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and Western blot assay. The uptake of FTA-Exos by A549 cells was observed under the laser confocal microscope, and the impact of FTA-Exos on the migration of A549 cells was investigated by cell scratch assay. The results showed that the average particle size of the prepared FTA-Exos was(138.90±2.37) nm, which increased slightly after drug loading. The PDI was 0.291±0.013, and the average potential was(-10.1±0.66) mV. The FTA-Exos were spheroidal in appearance as observed by transmission electron microscope, with an obvious saucer-like double-layer membrane. Western blot assay indicated that the specific proteins CD63 and Alix were both expressed in exosomes. The laser confocal microscopy suggested that FTA-Exos were taken up by A549 cells and stably maintained in the cell for 4-8 h, and the fluorescence was significantly enhanced at 4 h. The scratch assay showed that the inhibitory effect of FTA-Exos on the migration of A549 cells was significantly stronger than that of forsythoside A(P < 0.05). In conclusion, the drug delivery system of FTA-Exos established in this study had good stability, reliable preparation process, and potent inhibitory effect on the migration of A549 cells in vitro, which can provide an important reference for subsequent in-depth research and application.

ABSTRACT

A case of primary oral mucosal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)due to long-term use of methotrexate(MTX)for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)was admitted to the Department of Hematology,Fujian Medical University Union Hospital. We analyzed and discussed the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment, and prognosis of specific malignant lymphoma induced by MTX in this RA patient. Our purpose is to improve the awareness and knowledge of other iatrogenic immunodeficiency-associated lymphoproliferative disorders of clinicians and pathologists. This study provides a new reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of MTX-associated DLBCL.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND@#Delivery room resuscitation assists preterm infants, especially extremely preterm infants (EPI) and extremely low birth weight infants (ELBWI), in breathing support, while it potentially exerts a negative impact on the lungs and outcomes of preterm infants. This study aimed to assess delivery room resuscitation and discharge outcomes of EPI and ELBWI in China.@*METHODS@#The clinical data of EPI (gestational age [GA] <28 weeks) and ELBWI (birth weight [BW] <1000 g), admitted within 72 h of birth in 33 neonatal intensive care units from five provinces and cities in North China between 2017 and 2018, were analyzed. The primary outcomes were delivery room resuscitation and risk factors for delivery room intubation (DRI). The secondary outcomes were survival rates, incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), and risk factors for BPD.@*RESULTS@#A cohort of 952 preterm infants were enrolled. The incidence of DRI, chest compressions, and administration of epinephrine was 55.9% (532/952), 12.5% (119/952), and 7.0% (67/952), respectively. Multivariate analysis revealed that the risk factors for DRI were GA <28 weeks (odds ratio [OR], 3.147; 95% confidence interval [CI], 2.082-4.755), BW <1000 g (OR, 2.240; 95% CI, 1.606-3.125), and antepartum infection (OR, 1.429; 95% CI, 1.044-1.956). The survival rate was 65.9% (627/952) and was dependent on GA. The rate of BPD was 29.3% (181/627). Multivariate analysis showed that the risk factors for BPD were male (OR, 1.603; 95% CI, 1.061-2.424), DRI (OR, 2.094; 95% CI, 1.328-3.303), respiratory distress syndrome exposed to ≥2 doses of pulmonary surfactants (PS; OR, 2.700; 95% CI, 1.679-4.343), and mechanical ventilation ≥7 days (OR, 4.358; 95% CI, 2.777-6.837). However, a larger BW (OR, 0.998; 95% CI, 0.996-0.999), antenatal steroid (OR, 0.577; 95% CI, 0.379-0.880), and PS use in the delivery room (OR, 0.273; 95% CI, 0.160-0.467) were preventive factors for BPD (all P < 0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#Improving delivery room resuscitation and management of respiratory complications are imperative during early management of the health of EPI and ELBWI.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of incentive spouse collaborative psychological intervention on delivery outcomes of primipara. MethodsFrom July 2019 to July 2020, 300 primiparas with an uneventful pregnancy were recruited and divided into the control group and the intervention group, with 150 cases in each group. The control group was managed by routine nursing care, and the intervention group was managed by incentive spouse collaborative psychological intervention. The delivery outcomes in two groups, including delivery route, postpartum blood loss, and perineal laceration were compared. ResultsAfter intervention, the cesarean section rate, the 2-hour postpartum blood loss and perineal laceration in the intervention group were less common than those in the control group and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The first, second and total stages of labor duration in the intervention group were shorter than those in the control group and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of neonatal asphyxia between these two groups (P>0.05). In terms of vaginal delivery experience scores of the two groups, the intervention group was better than the control group and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). ConclusionThe mode of incentive spouse collaborative psychological intervention can reduce the rate of cesarean section, the amount of bleeding 2 hours after delivery, and perineum injury. It can shorten the labor process, and effectively improve the delivery outcome of primiparas.
